Tenerife

Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands and  with 2034 km ² Tenerife is Spain's second largest island. Tenerife is visited annually by over 5 million tourists, the island's industry and infrastructure are designed for this. The main destination is Puerto de la Cruz in the north and Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas in the south.

Playa de las Américas is a modern and well-organized beach destination on Tenerife's south coast - with an eclectic mix of beach, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. A wide range of hotels and great shopping. In short, a destination that appeals to most people. In Playa de las Américas everyone can find their favorite hotel - families with children, adolescents, adults, couples and golfers

In Puerto de la Cruz you live in a real Canarian town with lots of charm and atmosphere. The city is beautifully situated at the base of the lush Orotava Valley with the majestic Mount Teide as decorative backdrop. Here the environment is stylish and a bit old-fashioned, thanks to the classic architecture of the center. The city's most popular meeting point is the cozy Plaza del Charco, which has a nice mix of bars, cafes and restaurants. Beach life enjoyed in the large ocean basin created by Lanzarote artist César Manrique and architect - or the two lava sand beaches nearby.

Loro Parque
The first few years after its opening in 1972, the park was particularly concentrated on parrots and other tropical birds. Loro Parque is today better known for its shows with dolphins, killer whales and sea lions. In the park you find animals like chimpanzees, gorillas jaguars, tigers turtles and large aquariums with tropical fish. The park is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Canary Islands

Agriculture produces mainly bananas, potatoes, tomatoes and wine.

Carnival in Tenerife is among the 10 largest in the world, but not as well known as some other carnivals such as Rio de Janeiro, New Orleans and Venice.

With its 3717 meters above sea level and estimated 7000 meters above the sea floor is Teide the highest mountain in Spain, the highest mountain on some island in the Atlantic Ocean and the third largest volcano in the world.
